Membership Guidelines


We charge a one-off joining fee of £10 for new members, which includes a complimentary We In Front t-shirt or sweatshirt.
Our yearly membership fee works out at £2 per week pro rata. We generally organise 4 morning walks per week, and the membership entitles members to join as many of these walks as they wish.
Our membership year runs from 1st August to 31st July and members must pay either as a lump sum or on a schedule agreed with the Treasurer.
We’re sorry, but we can’t offer refunds for any weeks a member doesn’t join a walk.
All members are individually responsible for gauging their own ability and fitness levels and deciding which of the walks they choose to attend i.e., moderate, intermediate, or advanced. As a general rule of thumb, please expect our walks to be at least 2 miles.
If anybody has a health issue that may affect their walk, we ask that they disclose this to the walk leader before we set off. Our walk leaders have basic first aid training.
Everyone must ensure that they wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walks.
We welcome adults from all walks of life.
Members should inform a committee member in writing if they wish to withdraw their membership, but payment must be paid in full upon withdrawing. If you do not attend for four weeks a committee member will contact you, if you fail to respond we will assume you no longer wish to be a member.
Please complete an Application for Membership Form, which can be downloaded HERE. Once completed, you can hand it into a Committee member or Walk Leader.
